Strange really how different things turn you on with cars. In general I am not a fan of any of the Mk2 or Mk 3 cars. But this black example is absolutely stunning and the wheels really set the car off nicely, unlike Andy however, for me the jury is still out on the front plate[*-)]

Thanks all I wanted a ‘smooth nose’ and had nowhere else to put the plate. Not entirely sure i like where it is, but atleast its off the nose.
Dorothy - Plain old Autoglym polish!! I do have a valeter/detail as a friend though & the last pic it had just come back from a flat & polish
Dave - it’s VERY dirty at the moment!! I had an enthusiastic drive back from Santa Pod on Sunday. I looked at it this morning & turned my stomach - it’s a shade of spotty brown!
Next on my list is pretty engine (i’m female, i’m allowed to be vain!) rollbar, fit my manifold & centre section & next year turbo

How much work was getting the nose smooth? It’s something I’ve been thinking about doing on my Mk2.5. The front end has a few stone chips and scratches so a re-spray is due and while I’m doing that I might as well do the rest of the work to the bumper at the same time. Thinking of getting a good quality stick on plate made to DVLA spec. Just want to get that ugly number plate holder off the front of the car. [:D]
I cant remember how much it cost, my car was in 4 days & i had the wheels, bonnet & rear bumper done at same time!
worth it though, changes the look!
My mother has a mk2.5 and i look at it alot & wish she’d get the plate moved but she won’t!
I know, it’s like making a really pretty girl wear a really ugly brace, so it needs to come off so her beauty can show through. Also it must affect the flow of air over the front of the car, probably not by much but every little helps. [;)]
Not a big fan of the front smooth look, but the rest of the car looks great.
