Read the owner’s manual. In it the Mazda corrosion warranty specifically excludes damage caused by salt. UK pollutes the roads with salt. Therefore no corrosion warranty.
First thing I did at 65 miles and two days after buying it, was to pay a Dinitrol franchisee to underseal and wax inject my new Mazda3 while it was still clean and dry underneath and the covers would come off easily. Lots of them around these days of PCP and PCH, now that other manufacturers also skimp on rust protection knowing the car will be moved on at three years old, and all cars last eight years. Where it get interesting is will they pass twelve or even begin to approach fifteen or twenty?
That aint good, never knew that was an issue with these cars.
I have a 51 year old Volvo that will probsbly look better than the mazda in 3 years! https://imageshack.com/a/img924/7964/bGysLy.jpg
Im based in Hampshire, can you recommend a specialist to do this?
What can i expect to pay for rustproofing?

Think I know the answer but for our main car we have a new model Vitara and thinking of a change. Is the new CX5 and CX-30 the same poor underseal and thin paint as the MX5 ?. I know some manufactures make cars at different plants and countries so wondered if it made a difference. Looked under the Vitara and at over three years old cannot see any trace of corrosion. Just don’t want to buy a new car that’s wants instantly undersealing. Prob looking at a petrol CX5.
I just moved back to Vitara having previously done the premium 4x4s (need to get out in all weathers and live on a hill) and supplemented it with a Mk 3.5 PRHT. Both are great cars doing their own job best.
We have got a beautiful Zsport but our daily mainly for the wife has to be an auto. Just fancied something different and the new hybrid Vitara in the spec we want for some reason won’t be an auto.
