I was one of the winners of the STHT November competition for Smartwax One, with Dave McDonnel, Paul Evans, Alan Barron and Neil Hallet. The bottle or should I say two bottles arrived today. Just wondered if the other guys are on here and tried it yet. I will give some feedback when I get around to cleaning my beauty.
Anyone else tried Smartwax products? I Googled it and found some interesting comments on the Lexus OC forum.

What I’ve heard/read is basically the same as what the Lexus forum says - easy to use, but not as good as meguirs.
However, if you do not want to spend a lot of time polishing your car, then a quick polish every few weeks would look better than a detailed one every few months, so it might be better from that respect (over winter in particular).
Here are some pics of the results, well after I drove to Brighton and back today. The windscreen was covered in spray so the bodywork is probably the same, so I think this looks pretty good for a dirty car.
The car was quite dirty but not ground in, as I try and keep it clean, it had been out in the rain. All I did was spray on the SmartWax One, not easy when it’s windy, wiped it off and polish using microfibre towels. Very quick and easy but used 1/2 a bottle, so not cheap. The surface is still very rough so I just bought some clay on the way to Brighton this morning. Next weekends project.
I will keep the rest of the bottle for a quick once over when no time to do a proper two bucket wash.

It does look pretty good, but pictures can be a bit misleading when it comes to such things - they can make pretty dirty cars look like new (and the other way around in some light), but it does seem to have a good shine.
Did it come off easily enough (as the Lexus forum said it would)?
It was quite difficult to know how much to use. With it being windy the spray tended to go everywhere, so I probably used too much. The dirt came off easily and when dry was fairly easy to polish. I was pleased with the results compared to the time taken.
Just looked at the clay kit I bought from Halfords and the clays are missing [::(], some light-fingered b******d has had them away. So now have to go back and get a replacement[:(]
