NC Cosworth supercharger kit - dealers?

Does anybody know who will be supplying and fitting the NC Cosworth supercharger kit when it becomes available in the UK?

No idea yet.

Hmm I am fascinated by it but shouldn’t be - I find my 2.0l Mk3 very nippy indeed after my 1.6 Mk1, and I think adding more power would only get me in trouble! I find it hard enough behaving on the roads as it is.

Performance 5 are the best MX tuners around, they may get involved, give them a call

After a bit of digging around on other forums, here are what other people are saying;

about ÂŁ4400 supplied and fitted, including parts labour and ecu mapping, = about 220bhp at the rear.

However, there is concern that the drivetrain won’t be up to the extra power in the longer term, and as there are very few in the UK at the moment, it may be difficult to find an insurer willing to cover it.

I’m certainly not going to even consider this sort of addition until the Mazda warranty runs out in three years time.

I saw the kit at the Autosport show. Looked very good and most people who are good with a spanner should be able to fit it. It even comes it some thing you plug into the ECU then e-mail off the output. A few days later you get the map to put back in.
Looked very good in the car but power was more like 180/190bhp with 200lb dpending on pully/psi.

There’s a guy on one of the other forums possibly selling one.

I am led to believe that Cosworth UK have about seven sets in stock.

They will fit those cars that have air conditioning.

Revised fittings are being made for those that do not have air conditioning.

(requires revised pullies etc)

Cosworth UK have a demo car.

Try SWG Motorsport Services Ltd for supply and fit or fit only.

E Mail scott.glander@renaultcliov6.com.

Know them via my Clio V6.

mx5parts.co.uk now advertising the cosworth supercharger but currently ‘out of stock’.

yes, thats because it’s a ‘we order it in for you, we don’t keep them on the shelves’ arrangement, so you can still buy from them!

Someone selling one here, cheapest you will find.

Contact Litchfield Imports. They are the only company currently in the UK who have been developing this kit to properly fit the RH NC. They sell the SC with the ECU map developed by Cosworth USA and also the SC with their own ECU map and full Miltek exhaust system which apparently gives additional peformance. See http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/

“Forever MX5” has the first part of a 2-part write up of this kit in the current issue (issue 3).
