NC Front spring broken again 🤬

Hi hopefully some guidance, inspiration and sanity…

Here goes, My NC failed it’s MOT for a broken coil spring last Jan,replaced the spring and she passed (was too tight to buy 2 tbh ) replaced both drop links whilst I was in the area and both front tyres as well,14 month later and the replacement spring has snapped causing the suspension to drop right down (hopefully pic will upload ) spring was from an online Mazda specialist (not the well known one from down south ),pinged an email off and they immediately refunded me and replaced the item as well…I’v since been to ECP and replaced both,if you can see the broken one is defective within the casting…please nobody say ’ Buy sh#t,buy twice ’ you won’t be the first :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Definitely a faulty spring. The rust mark on the fracture shows where a crack started and grew and water got in, the bright area is the final sudden break. Why it cracked could be due to a metallurgical defect or surface damage. These things can happen to even the best manufacturer.

At least you got your money back and a new spring.
