You only need the usb hub to get android auto/carplay. It would be worth upgrading the infotainment firmware to the latest level to.

Thanks, but what are these “new cabling requirements”? Is the “USB hub” that you mention the same thing as the USB/Aux unit (K1414) that I have bought that you can see in the pictures below i.e. the little unit housing the Satnav SD card. This is where I am getting lost with it all. I realise I am being a bit of a dork but there are that many different requirements discussed in the thread it’s all getting a bit confusing.

No I didn’t. It came off a 2020 ND that was broken for spares.

Then its either a Mazda dealer or ebay.
