I’m pondering and would appreciate advice/thoughts. So, my ND is 8 years old and 65k miles, 85% of which is motorway and the car is regularly serviced. However, of late it just doesn’t feel like it’s absorbing road lumps/bumps as it used to. She has a full service due in 2k miles and I’m wondering whether there’s any benefit in asking the garage to change the shock absorbers? And if so, do I simply go for OE or might it be worth upgrading? My plan is to retire next year or so and at current mileage she’ll cover maybe another 30k miles so well worth keeping her in good nick. Incidentally, tyres were all change 10k miles ago for Rainsports and the rear bushes changed at 50k miles. Thanks in advance for any comments.
It might be worth taking a look at the BBR Koni package. They’re better quality than the standard Bilsteins, adjustable, and with their progressive springs lower it slightly. They’re about £1000 inc VAT including springs. I’ve got them and find them a decent upgrade without ruining the ride.
