ND1 MX5 Rattling seat height adjuster?

Just a quick one I’ve been noticing what feels like some extra movement in my driver side seat, I went and had a little investigation and it seems the culprit is the height adjustable section (I have the base cloth seats) at the front of the seat.

If I grab hold of if I can wiggle the section up and down slightly, whereas there is no play on the non height adjustable passenger side, is this normal?
