Hello everyone,
My name’s Craig, just wanted to say thanks for having me in the club, I’ve been driving for some 30 years now and after passing my driving test the first 3 cars I owned were original mini’s and up until a month ago they were the most fun I’ve had driving, I’m now the proud owner of a 2016 recaro sport 5 and it has brought back that fun into my life when it comes to driving, I love it!

I used to own an early Mini in the 70s, a C reg if i remember correctly. Everything was fine until i had the bright idea of putting a full race 1340cc engine in it, and it actually went like ■■■■ off a stick…for about 20 mins, single leading brake shoes notwithstanding 
. Turns out that the wrong gudgeon pins had been fitted in the con rods which started moving as the engine got hot, talk about bore score!
Lovely car, my last one was a 25th anniversary/silver jubilee, wish I had kept hold of that one.
You will know what I mean about the fun of driving with that.

Hi Craig and warm welcome to the club and roof down fun.my Very first car was a mini 1275 GT, such fun but a long long time ago.
My NC is my first convertible sports car after 40 year’s driving, can’t believe I’ve waited this long.lets just hope 2025 sees a few more sunny 
days

My 5 is the third convertible I’ve owned, there’s something about cruising with the roof down on a sunny day. Roll on.
