Just purchased 2014 MX-5 , 15550 miles . First time owner and drive of MX-5 . Only thing I find worrying is , steering at low speed feels heavy . Is this common or is it a problem .

Tyre pressures?
Hi thanks for replying, upped tyre pressure to 34 psi , no difference , dropped it back to 29/30 psi according to Mazda , returned car to garage to be checked. They found nothing wrong , swapped wheels from left to right , I personally think it’s worse now as it’s stopped the pulling to the left , but has made steering heavier , could it be tires ? They are KHUMO , 16 inch wheels .
What’s the condition of the tyres? You should check for cracks etc, are they a matched pair on the front? Also check the date on the sidewall, it may be the age of the tyres that’s doing it.
You mention pulling to the left, is that under braking or steering left because of the road camber?
What else do you drive that you are comparing the m x5 to? It may feel heavy and relatively un powered compared with some other makes but this is supposed to be a sports car not a saloon. When I swapped to new tyres also Khumo, they felt much more direct than the previous ones which had plenty of tread but were cracking between the treads.
