I am the new owner of a 2004 MX-5 Euphonic edition. As I slide towards retirement, I wanted a newer car that reminded me of the MGB’s and TR7’s of my youth. The MX-5 more than fits the bill, after only a week of driving, I love it!

Hi,
I am the new owner of a 2004 MX-5 Euphonic Edition. I wanted a fun car for my impending retirement that reminded me of the MGB’s and TR7’s of my youth. The MX-5 is perfect! The club allocated me North West Midlands, but living in Shropshire on the Cheshire /Staffordshire border, ( and an exiled Welshman) this area seemed much more like home. Looking forward to coming to a meet soon!

To ownership and membership from 2005 MX-5 Icon edition [retired 2024]
Got Bullit because she reminded me of my Triumph Spitfire Mk IV [was too short to see out the back of a TR7 !]
I’m also allocated North West Mids [here in Newcatle-under-Lyme] but was born at RAF Cosford which on my birth cert says ‘Salop’ but the area is now classed as Staffs [why?]. Went to boarding school near Sandbach, Cheshire and fav uncle also exiled Welshman living in Exeter !
You’ll find plenty in common with many posters

2001 to 2004 NBFL’s are peak cars IMHO had my ‘02 8 years and I hope it will be my last car, welcome to the Forum, wishing you many smiles per mile
