News about Drew

Following a blood test on Monday that returned some unexpected results, Drew Ford was admitted to hospital for more tests.[:(]
I didn’t realise the lengths he would go to to get out of fitting that new kitchen  [;)]
Let’s all wish him a speedy recovery and hope he’s all sorted in time for Club Night next week

Just out of curiosity you understand, does anybody remember what Drew had to eat in the restaurant at Brighton on Sunday!

Seriously though - Drew, I am sure these messages will be getting to you one way or another, hope all is well and I’m sure we all wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi Eric, please let Drew know that he has a mate in Australia who is rooting for him, hell I might even drink a gin on his behalf

Drew, this is a bit extreme to get out of meeting me next week!

All the best, hope things are all in good order soon.

get well soon buddy… [:D]

Hi Drew
oops hope it wasn’t the fish and chips at Brighton, hope you will be back to normal soon and fighting fit.
Take care and speedy recovery
Cheers

Drew came out of hospital this evening so will probably find time to post on the forum some time tomorrow, hopefully to tell us all is well.   I bet he didn’t know he had so many friends to worry about him.
The bad news of course is that as he couldn’t persuade the hospital to keep him in any longer he has no excuse not to get going on fitting the new kitchen.[:(]
But the good news is that he should be along to the Club next week to show off Dee’s Christmas present. And very nice it is too.[;)][:#]

Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind words. I had been suffering  breathlessness so the doctor sent me for a blood test and this showed a blood count of 6.4, to put this in perspective a normal count is 13 - 14 and a count of 8 or below is a case for an urgent transfusion. In fact the consultant in the hospital said this was one of the lowest counts he has seen!!! I have been given 3 units of blood and iron tablets.

I have been told to rest, not hard given that I tend to fall asleep every few hours during the day. I also have to go back to the hospital to find out why it happened in the first place, so I don’t have to fit the kitchen just yet [;)]

Fingers crossed I will be there for the meeting on the 28th, does that pub sell Guinness?

Best wishes Drew, I hope you’re feeling better soon and well enough to come along on Wednesday.
If they don’t sell Guinness there, then they ought to!

As long as it’s not too personal, could let me know if the hospital tell you how it happened, I too can fall asleep at the drop of a hat during the day,

Not sure you should be drinking at all with such a low count - either that or you are a really cheap night out!

Cheers
Jonathan

Blimey Drew, sorry to hear about your drama!

But glad they’ve topped you up with Mobil 1 (well, something like that [;)])

Fingers crossed they find the cause - more spinach for you now…

 Bob

Are there Vampires in your neck of the woods?

Well I have permission from the doctors to drink Guinness so I’m ok there [:D]

We are looking forward to the meeting on Wednesday but I may not be able to stay long.

Henry I don’t think we have vampires but I will check the loft.
