Niseko Found

[:)]I cant find the thread so apologies, but I am sure I saw someone here recently who desperately wanted a MK3 Niseko bit could not find one for love nor money.

I was at a garage in Hamilton (Scotland) Shields Mazda and they have an 08 (I think) Niseko with delivery mileage. Looked great.

Its a decent size group so even if location was a problem they can probably deliver.

Hope it helps

I think it may have been my thread, as I have mentioned that I’m looking for a Niseko.  The one at Shields Mazda is the 1.8 version, so doesn’t have the retractable hardtop unfortunately.  Thanks for mentioning it though.

I realise that, by definition, a special edition has to be in limited numbers, but in the current climate when cars aren’t selling, it would seem sensible for Mazda to include a car like the Niseko into the MX5 range.  Most people I’ve spoken to like the colour better than anything in the current range, they like the wheels and they like the 5 speed gearbox and brown leather seats.  I’m sure there are quite a few people out there who would like to buy an MX5, but are put off by the current colour choices.

 like this?

I’m not sure. That link just seems to take me to the Mazda Used Car homepage.

sorry, thought thelink would take you to the car.

Thanks.  I saw that one a while ago, but was really set on the icy blue RC version.  I think this one is sold now anyway as it disappeared from Autotrader earlier today.

Out of 560 2.0 Niseko coupe , I think a  Blue 2.0 will be rare. Did the 2.0 not come with a 6-speed?

I think I’m right in saying that the Niseko was only available with a 5 speed gearbox, regardless of which engine was chosen.

I’d be interested to know if the production of silver and blue cars was split 50:50 as I can’t imagine many people chosing the silver over the blue, since the standard car was available in that colour anyway.

200 blue, 360 silver

friend of mine has picked one up locally for only 12.000 pounds BRAND NEW…

That sounds like a bargain, especially if it was the hard top version in icy blue, for which the original brochure price was £19995.  By “brand new” I assume you mean unregistered at a dealer’s, since they were all made in the early part of 2008.  I wonder if there are any more like that.

I presume £12k is for 1.8 soft top? if a pre-reg 0-mileage type of brand new.

Hi,

Woo hoo my first post! I bought my first MX-5 (a 1.8 soft top silver Niseko) in November last year pre-registered with about 80 miles on the clock for a little over £12,000. I personally felt this was a bit of a bargin as a new one was £18,000ish when they were released six months previously

Noel.

Good buy! I am as always envious of your choc brown seats and blue piping ;o)

Oh yeah. I was a bit dubious about the colour scheme when the salesman told me about it but when I saw it I was sold lol ;o)
