Hi all, I have an orange light that comes on . I have had a check done and have been told that it is the O2 sensor (s) that is faulty.
I have a MK3 model. Can anyone advise the cheapest replacement, as some prices seem pretty high for the replacement sensors.
Thanks a lot. Chris
Hi Chris
Having just had the same issue I suggest you confirm which sensor is faulty, pre-cat (expensive), post cat (not quite as expensive).
Once you determine which is required check out Eurocarparts, they supplied a pre-cat o2 sensor for £170 after discount code. This was for an OEM Denso which is an identical part.
Be wary of the cheaper alternatives as they often require cutting wires and soldering the old plug on.
If you are handy with spanners this is a possible DIY fix, access is limited and I suggest the purchase of a dedicated socket for removal, but possible.
good luck
Thanks very much for the speedy and helpful response.
I used Opie for mine. Even cheaper [for the cut to fit version anyway]
