The event will be a two-day run, starting at the Ponderosa café, on the Horseshoe Pass, Llangollen, on Saturday 17th, at 10.30. We will then be heading to the Elan Valley (mid-wales) for lunch, followed by an overnight stay in Machynlleth. The hotel we have booked is called Plas Dolguog Hotel. It sits in its own beautiful grounds and has 13 bedrooms. Some of these rooms have already been booked by members who attended the club meetings, but there are still some available – so members need to be quick. All the hotel requires to secure the room is your card details (no deposit at this stage).
Due to the accommodation aspect, I have had to restrict the number of cars for the run to 13 - (since there are only 13 bedrooms at the hotel). However, having said that, if members want to come on the run and find their own accommodation in and around Machynlleth, then the more the merrier. (I believe there are some chalets / lodges in the area). If we fill all 13 rooms at the hotel then there will only be us members staying there.
Also, if members just want to do the run on the Saturday and go home after, or join us for the Sunday run, then that’s not a problem.
The hotel will be providing a 3-course dinner, bed and breakfast.
The evening event will be a black tie / evening dresses for the ladies.
Sundays run will be: Hidden Wales, ending with a meal at the Glasfryn, Mold.
