Ok here's the girlfriends birthday pressie! Oh and a big BHP Astra coupe (for sale)

Needs the clear repeaters…

Some fool put the weights on the outside of the rim!!! Doh…

Has new roof too, would have fitted glass one myself but not to worry.

Has new steering wheel on the way, the original is pretty tatty.  The seats are much cleaner than they look here.

The badge holes are now covered with a pink and chrome “Roadster” badge, and the light cover needs respraying.  Engine is mint though.

My “beast!” soon to be sold.  I have a 319 bhp Astra coupe which is being mot’d tomorrow.  Hopefully passes

This car is also for sale, offers around £6000.  It is like brand new, I have circa £4k in reciepts for engine work alone by Courtenay in Nofolk (the best Vauxhall tuners) pm me if your interested.

If you don’t mind me asking - where did you buy it from?

I’ve seen that 5 for sale somewhere, the paint missing on the light is very distinctive.

Its from oldham, from a bloke who owns a valeting company.  he bought it from an auction somewhere.  cheers

Thought I’d seen it on the trader site or ebay.

Nice looking motor, looks like you got a good one.  [:D]

Thanks, other than the cosmetic touch ups it needs, theres a little rust on the back above the offside light, and in the arch at the back.  Also a lttle under the brake master cylinder, but no apparent damage (its a flat bit so I assume water collects there).

The engine bay though is cleaner than my 2003 Suzuki!  Just changed the speedo face yesterday, as it had been changed to a MPH one made of paper glued to old kmh face!  The dash cowl fell to bits taking it off though so out came the super glue!  Also got a new wheel on the way from ebay to replace standard (shabby) one, as to have it re-trimmed would cost £150!!!

If it were mine, performance modifications would be a must but Sam is more than happy with it after her 1.2 16v Punto!  I cant believe how good it is on petrol, used just over half a tank to go from Oldham to Glasgow (about 220 miles).

Need to sort out dash cowl or get a new one, as the one in it still rattles about, even after glueing clips back in place.  Either that or some pritt pads!

Anyway sorry for the long post.

Cheers

Looks like a little belter !! You’re gonna have sooo much fun !!
You’ll never let her use it. [;)]

Those Suzukis’ are cool … my younger bro had one. very under estimated little car.

 Thanks mate!

The Ignis is an absolute blast! I’v never had so much fun in a little car.  Went to Crail raceway a few years ago and was keeping up with Clio 172’s up to about 80 mph!!!  But, its the twisties that make it great.  I got a front strut brace for it after reading up, and I couldn’t believe the difference it made.  I havn’t ever taken the car on a track but when its sold I think that i’ll regret it!

That said, if Sam lets me take her car to Knockhill then i’ll be happy!!!  Unfortunately the 5 is Sams daily driver and I’m not insured on it so only track time in it as long as I an get the permission!!!

Cheers mate!!
