i would like a full metal non retractable hardtop version!
ie a coupe!
the added stiffness in the body would be great for everything

One day like meâŚyou will have stiffness in the body but not what youâd hoped for.
Youâll have to excuse me,Iâm easily confused
Just look at the colours people actually buy when you next go to a rally. The colour thing comes up all the time, but the reality is they donât sell. How many times do you see a lime green or purple launch edition Fiesta or other car and think, that was a bold choice?
I have a Clio in grey. Given that Renault produced the car in Alien Green, Liquid Yellow and other bold colours, the consensus is that the grey is the âbest colour.â
i couldnât agree more. put as you have done it seams obvious that is the way it will undoubtedly happen
Ooh, I donât mind. Le plastique câest fantastique.
The one thing I miss from previous cars is a rear wash/wipe. Not a problem with the roof down, but I have a tendency to keep the roof up when itâs raining, and thatâs when it would come in handy. Not easy to attach one to a soft top though.
Not easy to attach one to any car thatâs not a hatchback/estateâŚ
True, some did but most didnât.
Saloon car rear windows donât get anything like as dirty as hatchbacks and estates in my experience.
Even some hatchbacks donât have them. I used to have an 07 plate Honda Civic that didnât and it was the biggest gripe on the ownersâ club forum.
I had a Civic without the rear wiper and the reason it didnât need one was because the designed the rear end so that it didnât dirty like most hatchbacks. It worked really well.
My Mk1 came with a rear wiper as standard.

I expect she doesnât ruin the carâs lines like a permanent rear wiper wouldâŚ
Jag XJ8 X350 does. Somehow, Jaguar, when designing a ÂŁ100k car (which is picked up 14 years later for ÂŁ4000) some how shaped it to provide a constant waterfall down the rear screen in driving rain.
One thing to make it better :- Stopping ill in-formed advice being spread about these Roadsters from people that push bad advice and information that are guessing/making up or stealing, to be popular and then owners listening to rubbish spread from the ear say and the ill informed advise and believing it as fact , mainly on âplease give me attentionâ two faced book with the endless supply of âgroupsâ where everyone one is an expert behind a screen and on a key board.
Passion is a killer.
M-m
One thing? make them easier for tall people to fit, more leg & headroom
quick side note.
gotta be honest a rear wiper would be great!
however we dont got them so its time to improvise!
WATER REPELLENT.
i discovered water repellent about 25 years ago and back then it wasnt quite right,
basically it worked too well however over the years they have refined the formula and when i tried it recently i was happily surprised to find out that it now works really well.
i use it on the outside of all my glass.
its so good that when it is raining and im doing more than 10mph, i dont even need to put the wipers on!
and on the rear screen it really helps the wind clear the screen.
Which one do you use?
