For information, I have just been told by my insurers that it wouldn’t have mattered if I was parked on double yellows. She has reversed into the parked car, so it’s her fault.
I was thinking yesterday, even if you parked across her driveway it wouldn’t alter the situation either, if she drove in to you she is at fault.
Good grief. And would she use the same excuse if a mother and child were standing in the same position at the time? They were ‘standing dangerously, so it was their fault I hit them’. Beggars belief.
It could be argued that you were more likely to be hit parking there by someone not paying due care and attention (your choice to take that risk), but it’s not your fault you were hit.

Do you usually park there? Most likely scenario is that she doesn’t bother to look in her rear view mirror when reversing out of her drive as there’s “normally nothing there to reverse into”
Yeah we often park there to rotate the cars as we have a tandem drive.
She’s not the resident though. She’s the sister of the resident.
More likely is certainly a fair cop.
