Passenger window problem

Hi

Today, I encountered a problem with the passenger window on my 91 Eunos. It wound down (very slowly) but then would only wind up about half way. I removed the door card to see if there was anything obvious stopping it but I couldn’t see anything amiss. When the switch is pressed, the motor winds for a couple of seconds and then stops. This happens without moving the window. I found a cable similar to a pushbike brake cable that is connected to the motor I think. This cable has a spring and a plastic fitment of some sort attached to the end. There is a kink in the inner cable that is visible sticking out of the end when the window switch is pressed into the DOWN position. I have managed after about 30 mins to get the window into the up position and that is where I am at the moment. Any help would be smashing. Thanks

I am in nearly in exactly the same position, mine will come down only about 100mm then it stops. It will go back up so I have decided to leave it alone 'till the warmer weather comes and then take it all out, clean everything and lubricate only what is supposed to be lubricated. It’s rare that I have that window down anyway so it’s not too big a problem. I will probably make a report out while doing it with pictures to help others in the future.
