I have been trying everything to upload pics to a post. I upload to a hosting site then click on the relevant icon on the post. It asks for the url so I go to hosting site pick the pic and copy the url then paste into the correct box but all I get is a little square with an x in it. I am a member of various other forums and have no difficulty posting pics in any of them yet here it seems impossible. Even the help articles on posting pics have little boxes with x in them so no help there. Can anyone enlighten me please before I run out of what little hair I have left lol.
Try it here and see whether other people can see the pictures.
I’ve read recently of similar instances where they don’t show up on a phone but do on a desktop, for example.
Its because your link you tried won’t work for any forums. Needs to be a link to the image file iteself, not a webpage.
eg. instead of using https://ibb.co/iK1NTc, use https://preview.ibb.co/heirMx/IMG_1519.jpg
The process to share photos here is 99% the same as any other forum.
Thank you for your help. I can see this works but not sure where you got the preview link from. Have tried the hosting site again and cannot reproduce your link. Am I doing something wrong.
Thanks for your help. Found the issue. Internet explorer was the cause. Did it in Chrome and get so many more options.
