How do you switch off the option to receive email notifications of posting updates?

I’ve tried unticking the box, but I still get them!!

At the moment I’m inundated with emails about Face Book - just because I posted a comment early on about Yellow Pages ceasing hard copy publication.

I’ve tried editing and unticking the box but I am still getting the d**m things, and it’s now developed into an arguing match !!.

Help!!!

P.S. I will leave this post ticked to see if any body can help!!

Log in, click on MY PROFILE, top left second tool bar down.

In the control panel select the bottom option EMAIL NOTIFICATION PREFERENCES. 

Ensure there’s a black dot in TURN OFF NOTIFICATIONS and the next two options are clear - no black dots.

The fourth option needs to be ticked to ensure you get told about private messages (PM’s).

MAKE SURE YOU CLICK ON  SAVE - BOTTOM RIGHT.

 

That SHOULD be it.
