Is it possible to Preview what one has typed etc on a forum before posting? As you could do on the Old Forum

There are some tabs at the top of your post when you are typing your reply, click the one on the furthest right, and you get to preview it.

 

I tend to “copy” everything i have typed before I click it just in case I lose it [;)]

Hi, the furthest one to the right is the ABCspell checker, that’s all.

You should see a page like this, the tabs are at the top----

All I am getting is Subject and below that the long box for the subject, then below that the word message

and below Message one line of icons that start with B I  U  and at the other end ABCand a tick mark.

 I am not getting any of the tabs or Font Family Font Size.

I am using Internet Explorer.

It sounds like you are clicking on “quick reply” at the end of a post.

 

To get the option to preview, you need to click the yellow “reply” option at the side of each post.

I did as you suggest with this reply and it has not changed. I still just get what I said in my previous post.

Yes the first thing I did was to change the Content Editor option to enhanced from standard.

I would like to get this Preveiw business sorted out, as I have the write up done for the glass windblocker and, I want to be able to preveiw everything to make sure it is all ok and the pictures in the correct place with the text.

Would you be able to post a few screenshots of what you actually see?
There might be some other things that would point us towards a solution

When I clicked on your yellow reply button this time, I did get the Font Family and Font Size with the other icons too. this is the first time this has happened but, still no COMPOSE  OPTIONS   RELATED   PREVEIW tabs…

I don’t know how to post a screen shot of what I actually see. If you can describe how to do this I will do my best to try to do it.

Looks a bit long/complicated, but that’s just because I’ve broken it right down. Any issues though, just ask :) 

If you press the “Print Screen” key on your keyboard (usually shortened to “PrtScn” and found above the arrow keys & insert, delete, home, etc.).
Open Paint (Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint)
Click Edit, then Paste
(At this point a copy of eveything on your screen should appear - if not, go back to the start and try again)
Click File and Save, give the file a name, and change the file type to JPEG and save the file, taking note of the name and location

Go to http://www.imageshack.us/ and click on the browse button, locate the file, and then click ‘host it!’(you do not need to enter your email or register or anything)
It will take a couple of seconds, depending on your connection speed

You will get a page with 3 textboxes at the top, and small picture of your desktop and a few ads.
Scroll down to the bottom, where there are another 3 textboxes, copy the bottom one in to a post here, and post it!
NOTE - The picture will not automatically appear, but when things are not working right, this is the best method in my opinion, since the forum will not muck it up!

I got nearly to the end where I was waiting for the three text boxes and a notice came on the screen to say it was not available.  I will try again later.r
