Problem with hardtop retraction

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __MK3
  2. I’m based near: __surrey
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __a problem with the hardtop retraction.

It seems that the passenger window does not drop the same few inches as the drivers window when retracting the hardtop. This results in the hardtop warning light continuing to flash after the cycle is completed. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be stopping The passenger window moving as it should.

Hiya, this potentially is the window switch itself? Have a google search for PRHT window switch problems.

Hi, I had a similar problem. It was the window switch itself. One of the pins required resoldering (assume it’s lead-free solder from the factory). Worth a check. It’s pretty easy to get at the board. Cheers
