Have got my MX5 booked in for a BBR 200 upgrade next month. Anybody out there done it and if so, how much did it added to you insurance premium?

As insurance is so varied, a quick call to your current insurer and ask them to quote based on the upgrade, that is the only way to know how your premium will be affected.
As the previous post just ring them for a revised quote. I had the BBR185 and it made literally no difference whatsoever.
Personally i would phone first to check that your current insurers will cover a modified car as not all will and you could end up with cancellation fees. But sometimes as someone here recently posted here that it can work out cheaper and start a new cheaper policy elsewhere.
I’m with Adrian Flux and about a year ago I enquired and it was about £70 more for the year.
