RALLY FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Where is the Rally?   Heritage Motor Centre, Banbury Road, CV35 0BJ Gaydon, Warwickshire. http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/visit/getting-here/

When is the Rally and what are the opening hours? Sunday 28 September, Event Gates Opens at 10.30am - 4:00pm. Rally programme commences 11.00am. 

 

How much are tickets? The event is free to MX-5 Owners Club members holding a valid rally pass windscreen hanger (and current membership card) Non-member entrance is possible on the day at the Heritage Motor Centre’s regular pricing. Is the Museum included? Yes access to the Museum and Heritage centre is included on the day 

Can I buy a ticket on the day? Yes, tickets are available on the gates at the Heritage Motor Centre, usual centre prices apply. http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/visit/opening-times-admission/

Is car parking free? Yes, for all in attendance.

Is there disabled access?  Yes, Please clearly display your Blue badge before arriving on site.  Marshals will direct you to the disabled parking area. The venue is fully accessible and on level ground.

Are children welcome? Yes. Access for all accompanied children under the age of 5 is free and 5-16 yrs is £8 on the gates - http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/visit/opening-times-admission/

Are there any concessions? Yes, Usual Centre entrance prices apply - http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/visit/opening-times-admission/

Are there crèche facilities? No

I am not a member and in an MX-5 where will I park? Priority is given to all MX-5s

Can I come in another car that is not an MX-5?
 Yes, Non MX-5s displaying a pass will be directed to the overflow car park - you will need to take your hanger and membership card with you to get in at the pay gate as the overflow is just outside the event perimeter fence.

 

How can I get a printed programme? Please bring your Rally Pass to the club registration tents to receive your programme for the event and Rally gifts.

What is the main programme schedule? Please check the MX-5 Owners Club Forum for further details. And see your Rally programme on the day.

Who are the celebrities? We are joined by Chris Barrie, renowned vehicle collector and also know for his performances in Spitting Image, Red Dwarf as Rimmer and Gordon Brittas

Can I join the Club on the day? Yes special introductory Rally pricing is available on the day. Please ask at the club membership desks for more details.

 

What is the medical/first aid procedure? Please advise one of our many site stewards or marshals of any incident, they will take you to the medical staff on site or arrange for them to come to you.

What is the procedure in the event of a fire? If fire is discovered please advise an on site steward immediately, do not tackle

 

Are dogs permitted? Yes, dogs are allowed on site on a lead and under close control, but the buildings are accessible only to Guide dogs.

Where are the nearest toilets? Toilets are available on site, there are several within Heritage Centre, Please ask for directions or follow signage.

Is there camping on site?  Unfortunately not as the site is currently undergoing works the closest camping is Cadbold Fosse Farm, Walton Lane, Pillerton Priors, CV35 0PJ

Is there a bus service to the Rally? No

Is there a cash machine on site? No.The nearest cash machine is located at the Petrol Station in Gaydon, CV35 0HA

Where are the nearest shops? There are local shops in Stratford upon Avon. The nearest superstore is also in Stratford upon Avon or Banbury

Where is the nearest petrol station? The nearest petrol station is located in the Village of Gaydon a few hundred metres from the Rally

Where is the nearest accident and emergency unit?  Horton General Hospital, Banbury

 

Can I take pictures / video at the event? Yes.

Can I park next to my friends on the rally field? If you arrive together you’ll be parked next to each other. Club Areas are also allocated a meeting and display space within the event which is a great meeting spot.
Display cars will be asked to arrive slightly earlier, full details will be distributed to Area Coordinators.

Will there be food available? Yes the Venues restaurant will be serving food all day as well as an outside catering unit.

Can I bring a picnic? Yes, but only food bought within the building can be consumed indoors

Will I enjoy my day out? Yes!!! this is set to be the Club’s biggest ever event with a programme of activities and guests that will be keep you busy all day, hopefully you can fit it all in, have a great time and we really look forward to seeing you there!
