Rear defroster issues

Hello,

Im from Canada and have myself a 1992 Eunos Roadster Special V.
I recently acquired the relays and timer unit so i can make use of my rear defroster.
Sadly, myself and the local Miata specialist are having issues locating where the timer unit is. [Part # NA01677T0]
Looking further into it this morning do these models/year not make use of the timer unit and instead replaces it with this rocker switch?
North American models normally have the necessary plug for the timer unit just hanging near the steering column.

Ive taken some pictures of what im guessing is the right plugs, but im still new these cars :(
Would it be the blue plug with 4 wires in the bottom picture that would be correct?

Thank you,
Cam

Hi Cam

That looks like the standard blue connector that fits to the most common version of the heated rear window switch with the blue connector fitted to these cars.

Great to know! We were both baffled a little bit :stuck_out_tongue:

Not surprised that there are differences between the Miata and Eunos with this setup - the Miata seems to have a lot of variation when compared to Eunos or UK spec MK1.

We are well used to the Eunos in the UK but Miatas are very rare over here.

This switch is not cheap I’m afraid but occasionally come up for a fair price secondhand on ebay.co.uk

Yeah :frowning: The site i linked to would be about 70$ Canadian after shipping and duties. Ill look around here to see if anyone has one. If i can get one from the UK under 50$ Cad shipped im all for that lol

Thanks again for your help
