Rear handbrake line removal

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __ NC
  2. I’m based near: __ Newark
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __ Removing the rear handbrake line.

Dropping the subframe and these pesky blighters are holding me up, literally in this case.

Am I supposed to just pry them out?

Image for reference

Just want the plates out, what am I missing?

Much obliged

I’m happy to stand corrected here but I think that’s your abs sensor

If so I guessing it just pulls out

You are correct, it is the abs sensor I think. No wonder i wasn’t finding anything online!

Unfortunately no luck on pulling it out, I’ve slightly separated its mounting bracket, but the sensor itself seems welded in.

Don’t want to put the molegrips on too tight as its plastic.

Liquid penetrate for a few hours , I’d maybe then try a twist to loosen up rather than just pulling

Why not unplug the sensor from the loom and leave it attached to the suspension/subframe assembly ?

:see_no_evil_monkey:why didn’t I think of that
