Recommendations for Servicing

  1. My model of MX-5 is: 2008 NC
  2. I’m based near: Esher, Surrey
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: someone to do a service

any recommendations for servicing? Don’t want to get ripped off but happy to pay someone who knows what they are doing, as an alternative to a main dealer.

thanks

Would you not fancy doing it yourself? It’s very easy and will cost significantly less than it otherwise might…

Alan at Cox & Buckles in Kingston is an MX5 specialist. Google C&B for contact details as they don’t have a website and leave a message if there’s no answer as I believe it’s just Alan there and he doesn’t always get to the phone in time.

If you want a Mazda stamp then MKG3000 in Twickenham have offered me OC discount in the past (I think TW Whites also do, but check).

I’d love to, but wouldnt know where to start, plus no garage, no driveway, so not really an option for me :frowning:

thanks, will check them all out :+1:

Slightly late seeing this but I would recommend C & C Sparkes

http://www.candcsparkes.co.uk/

Its near Woking, have had my 59 plate Mk3.5 serviced here twice now. The garage is a 2.5 miles from the nearest station so if you don’t mind a walk, or have a fold up bike you can fit in!
The owner is very knowledgeable and fair and won’t charge you for anything that isn’t needed. I found them via here.

I can vouch for Sparkes as Colin has worked on my and my partner’s cars a few times now (Colin certainly used to own a mk1). He’s a proper old-school mechanic and I know he’s said he prefers to work on mk1 and mk2s. He is a bit out of the way in Bisley but if you can get a lift then he’s worth a look.
