Hi,
I’ve been looking at a few limited Mk 1’s and after 15 years and 80k miles of use some of the tan leather seats look like they have been in a war and need some restoration work, and i was wondering how easy it is to restore leather seats to their former glory?
I’m assuming, as with virtually any part of a car, that leather seats can be restored relatively easily?
Any ideas/thoughts most welcome on the subject!
Cheers
Ben
That was something I never really found a good answer too.
I ended up replacing mine, and going for a totally different interior colour scheme.
Dandy cars charge £70 per replacement panel of leather - but it never matches the aged bits
hi ben ive recently refurbed mine down to the foam and had covers off e bay with red stitching and piping took few hours but look at result
all you need is phillips screwdriver long noise pliers socket set and hog rings didnt fancey the idea of using plastic ties and one afternoon spare
