Remote central locking ...or lack of it!

My car, '52,  1.6  has central locking which works from the key in either door ,but it does not have a remote fob ,and from what i’ve read the ‘basic’ models did not come with ‘remote’ central locking.

I was wondering, is it just a matter of me buying a 2nd hand remote fob and looking for instructions to programme it , or do i need to buy more than just a fob ?

If i only need a fob ,does anyone know which one ,as i’ve seen them advertised 2nd hand but with various part numbers ,ie 41804 ,41836 or 41703 ?

You have the drivers side dead lock system fitted,you can retro fit remote C/L to the roadster,the cheapest place for the kits is the Bay of E for £25’ishThumbs up

So it’s not just a matter of buying a fob then ?   I’ll have a look at the kits,they seem cheap enough , cheers .
