Renewing Zip In Plastic Window Mk1 1990

Hi everybody, 1st time asking a question. How easy or otherwise is it to replace the rear window (plastic) section of my PVC Hood. It is the zip in kind which now has a large crack. Any tips would be appreciated.

I am thinking of changing the window and the whole of the zip in section if that makes sence!
