Repair kit in the event of a puncture - advice please

I do have recovery - but sometimes it’s nice to have all the bases covered.

Belt and braces - may save time and money in the long run!

Once my old Citroen broke downin the middle of the largest council estate in England. Fortunately I was able to repair it and carry on. I’m not sure I’d have liked to have sat around for a few hours waiting for a recovery truck.

Although you can drive for miles on a flat tyre at walking pace, at the cost of destroying the tyre.

We have managed to get a 16" wheel and tyre in the boot of our mk3.The repair kit would not work in the event of a blow out (which we have had 2 of in the last few months!!)No more waiting hours for the cavalry.

Please tell or show how! - mine won’t go into the boot with a tyre on, I think the space is big enough (with the puncture repair kit removed) but I couldn’t get the wheel in through the boot lid!

Mr Patnav had to remove the front and back inner panels but as they are only cosmetic we didn’t mind.As mentioned the wheel is a standard 16" alloy that came with the car with a 205/50 tyre.It fits better with a part worn tyre but we have a new one on at present and that just fits.I’m not sure how to put pictures on here but if i find out i will post a pic.

We know a lot of people don’t like removing panels but we think it is worth it for our peace of mind(especially with our track record of blow outs!!)
