The guy i bought it off had a new hood on it. To be fair this morning I found the drains near seat belts both clogged and used and old aerial to clean them out.
This evening the corners were still damp, particularly where the carpet is clamped down with the screws on either side of the carpet parcel shelf. I removed all the clips so far and will remove the clips to completely remove and dry.
What I was worried about was that if water gets to the centre parts of the parcel shelf, it would go down and possible rust some areas. Especially were the guy had attempted to put a roll cage in, meaning I have a 3cm diameter hole on one side. Im thinking of using some rust treatment (no rust anywhere, and car was always garaged by previous owner - never used in rain) and covering with hamerite spray all over. Might also use some silicone or duck tape all round.
