Yep, same quote that I had, but horrified at the idea of coping over £100 for a battery I fitted a B52 Varta Blue Dynamic battery, 12v 45Ah (545156033) (048 053), which I bought online from Tayna Batteries at £55.95 with a 4 yr guarantee.
Identical in all respects to the original battery except the price… fitting took me about 10 mins, and it also gave me a chance to clean under the tray.

Ordered a Yuasa YXB5053 with a five-year warranty for £69.95 delivered from Ebay (MDS Battery Ltd of Enfield) on Tuesday which was delivered the next day. Fitted it myself this morning without any apparent issues…
Battery is performing well so far.
A big ??for common sense… just have to hope its contagious and more people catch the bug
