Replacement boot board help mk2.5 2003

  1. My model of MX-5 is: __mk2.5 1.8
  2. I’m based near: __Maidstone
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: __Boot board

Hi all

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement for the larger section of boot board. I know that most models didn’t have two boards so it’s proving difficult to get another. Any ideas anyone? If anyone has one in their car and could do a template for me somehow I could maybe get one made?

Thank you

Not sure I have ever seen one that covers the entire spare wheel well twixt the o/s battery well and n/s aerial well. Funny I was looking at some large bits of hardboard in my garage earlier today and wondering if there is a jig saw in the shed that I could cut such a piece out with

Try tapping up this lot, they break NBs and NCs like shelling peas.

Does such a thing exist?

Where have you seen one?

There’s nothing I can see on the Mazda parts diagrams that suggest there ever was a board on the left hand side of the boot floor - just the carpet over the top of the spare wheel. Maybe it was something aftermarket?

Hi. Yes. There was one in my car and it’s not there now!

Will attach a video or photo of the current situation without one…

The carpet no longer fits because the board isn’t there

Thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

If your car did have a boot board covering the spare wheel then it must have been added by someone, they were never supplied from the factory.

I think OP means the bit of board that covers around the battery bin and a part of the wheel well.

I know mine came with one and it doesn’t look home-brew

Yes, there was always 1 piece of board that covered the battery and which the jack handle was attached to, all NB had that. The OP referenced 2 boards in their original post.
