Meet at The Cricketers Arms at 12:30pm or, preferably, take a lovely 30 mile country drive on back roads and reward yourselves with a drink and lunch.
Members are requested to pre-select their meals from the attached ‘Autumn Menu’ so that the restaurant can help us to eat at around the same time. Please email the organiser by Tuesday 13th November at the latest with your name, meal choice and mobile number.
The driving route is as follows:
• Meet in the right hand car park just inside the entrance to the Lea Valley White Water Centre in Waltham Abbey, EN9 1AB at 10:30am for an 11am start.
• A route sheet will be provided on the day for those that want one.
• Drive more or less due north through the following villages:
o Bumbles Green
o Broadley Common
o Roydon
o B181 past Roydon Station to just outside Stansted Abbotts
o Rt on to the B180
o Hunsdon
o Widford
o Rt on to the B1004
o Much Hadham
o Little Hadham
o Straight over the A120
o Albury
o Gravesend
o Stocking Pelham
o Berden
o To Rickling Green
• There are many easy routes back, either via the A10 or the M11
