The passenger side has less leg room because there is a subwoofer in the footwell. Anyone with long legs may find it a problem.
I have a Mk1 and a Mk4 and the newer car seems more roomy in the cabin to me. I do find getting my sitting position right in the Mk4 can be tricky if I have moved the seat.
Honestly, seeing as how MX5 Parts are asking Ā£82.50 for an OEM cup holder replacement, the visor price doesnāt surprise me. Iām not saying I like it; just that Iām not surprised. ;) Thatās one area where early models certainly have an advantage over the ND. Parts for the early models are nice and cheap and there are plenty of alternatives from non-OEM manufacturers too. Indeed, if you want a fun runabout with great handling, minimal running costs, great looks and open top freedom, youād be hard pushed to beat a NA, NB or NC (but then Iām preaching to the choir here arenāt I LOL ).
At least, as far as standard servicing parts go, I should be OK. I took out the Arnold Clark extended servicing agreement for three years. I was wary about doing that with a cheap family car that I bought from them (will they try to stiff me with the parts or charge me for unneeded non-service items etc) but the cover didnāt cost much so I thought Iād give it a try. My experience has been very positive (three years of good servicing and not a single additional cost (indeed, they even did a bit of extra work that I requested for free)) so I was happy to take the same cover for my Rf up until the end of the warranty period. The up-front price was pretty good and servicing time, filters, oil etc are covered for the next 3 years.
Iād heard that was the case but I hadnāt done much poking around to confirm, thanks.
