Robbed on Facebook

Bought some koni shocks from Facebook off a seller who has stopped talking to me and hasn’t sent the shocks. Now I paid by bank transfer and I realise that I have no protection. Does anyone have any advice; I have “reported” to FB, can I call the Police about it? Any advice welcome. I may have to cut my losses and accept that I’ve been robbed online?

I doubt the the police would get involved if I’m being honest, and facebook are like my harris.
Try the bank, see if they can claw it back.

I agree. Contact your bank, they’ll have a fraud department or expert and they should be able to tell you what you should do even if they can’t get the money back.

I fell for a similar scam a few years ago - you’re not the fist and won’t be the last.

I put a £20 deposit on an engine so didn’t lose too much

So I’ve reported it to Action Fraud, Facebook and my bank has agreed to investigate. I’m not expecting them to recover the money (£118) but if they can stop the guy it woud be good. Thanks for your advice guys.
