When I did my rear subframe I covered the adjustment bolts and plates in grease and all the bolts really to do with the suspension, drop links etc. Just wipe off the grease afterwards to leave clean bolts. Mask off the suspension struts and Flexi brake lines and the part of the exhaust that passes near to where you are spraying.
The second pass I did with underseal some two years later I used a brush on epoxy from Built Hamber less messy than spray cans so didn’t mask up, only myself.
it stinks.
