I’m currently in the market for a mk3. I had a Mk1 about 6 years ago and after i sold it I said that I’d get another one day, actually I had to promise my wife that I would get another eventually and that time has come…so I’ve been told!
Steve.

G’day mate, Welcome to the Forum. Seems like a good time to buy a new Mk3 over there
Welcome…I boomeranged back recently myself after a break from ownership…Cant get too much of a good thing
Geoffs right about the MK3 some great offers around as you probably know so good luck for a bargain.
By the way, suppose there are worse things to be “told” from the wife LOL
Wish mine would tell me to buy a new convertible
Yeh but you can also bet that after I buy the car on her say so, I’ll have to endure a good 6 months of ‘well you bought a new car so I’m gonna buy…’ [:D]
I’ve no idea where you live [would help if you filled it in, in the profile][;)]
EMG in Cambridge are offering 30% off new MX5s at the moment
Most dealers are offering big discounts. Romford Mazda have some 2.0 5’s on 5 years interest free credit and 5 years warranty and free servicing.
yeh I’ve spent a couple of hours with them today. Mind you, to get the 5yr deals you lose a lot of discount. It’s all swings and roundabouts.
Well, whatever and whenever you buy, come along to the North Thames meeting. Full details on our nice shiney new web site at http://www.nt-mx5oc.co.uk/ Actually - just come along anyway and meet everyone.
Well I am now the owner of a new 2.0 Bose Sport in Galaxy Grey. Actually, at the moment I am the owner of a piece of paper with the order details on it, picking the car up in the next couple of weeks.[:)]
Congratulations! Great colour!
Hope you got a good deal.
As mentioned in another thread it’s all swings and roundabouts and dealers are only gonna sell if they make money but I got what I wanted for what I was prepared to pay, so I consider it a good deal.
Obviously the time of year and impending facelift are in my favour but I’ve ended up paying less for a new car than I nearly paid for year old one in the summer.
Just need to get the eibachs sorted now.
Steve
Hi Steve, was it Romford Mazda? If so, Don Baikie is a regular at the North Thames club nights and can be found on the parts desk there. Say hi when you pick your car up. PM me your e-mail address and I’ll add you to the NT events newsletter.
Yeh it was Romford Mazda. I’ve bought a couple of cars from them and although not exactly local to me they’ve treated me well.
I’ll PM my addy.
Got my car there last year. Not a bad team there. Only problem is the parking. They fitted my Eibach’s but I had the car aligned later by WIM. If you don’t want to go all that way Supertyres in Maldon are good and do a special price for OC Members. Just see Warren or Lee.
