Looks fab. Im doing the western half of the NC500 starting on 15 June for 7 days 6 nights. Just booked the first few days campsites tonight. Rest will hopefully get booked tomorrow. Will post some pics too when done.
Enjoy your trip!
I am guessing that was more then two years ago, last time I went March 2022, the road to Applecross was mostly brand new, mostly no wider and just as undulating as before
We are all go for middle of April next year but looking at going on the ferry to Isle of Skye, bimble round there and back across the bridge as well. Couldnt book the ferry on my phone yesterday. Heading clockwise for us from the south to near Kendal first night and then up past Glasgow. We are all booked with places to stay but have to find one place near Kirkaldy on the way back south , to visit a friend , before we head south of the border back to in laws in Sunderland for a night and then back south to Berkshire. We have 7 days in Scotland, 10 days all in and will chase most of the NC500 but obviously will miss a bit.
It was May 2022. Might well have been fixed by now.
Thanks John for your guide which i followed pretty much religiously and it was great. Just got back today after a slightly frustrating morning waiting for breakdown recovery as i some how managed to flatten the battery overnight. Otherwise the trip was perfect really enjoyed the roads despite a few folk who dont know how to drive on singletrack. And I managed topick up a windscreen crack from a loose stone while doing the scotsburgring (which was an ace detour) hopefully as it sits just on the edge of the swept area im hoping it will be ok come MOT tine . Unfortunately the ferry to cape wrath wasnt running due to high winds so i will just have to go back another time
