Has anybody fitted the clear sidelight/indicator unit available from Mx5 parts. It says these are not legal in the uk in standard form as there is no sidelight, is it difficult to fit the side light to this unit. Any help with this with pics would be greatly appreciated.

Mmm they do look nice, I’ve pm’d Ady after seeing his car in stht. I also like the original look i’ve taken my units off the car but a bit unsure how to split and reseal them. Did you have to make a hole for the sidelight and what did you use to keep the lamp in place, any pics would be good for a complete novice ( idiot ) to modding.

You thin the plastic with the dremel. drill the hole, then file out the 2 lugs so it all works as Std
