Has anyone else had an email about sky and skyplus separating and new charges ?

BINNED Sky years ago and moved to IPTV. I have never looked back and now have everything BSB offer and loads more. They are rip off merchants.

I agree with Cypher. Nothing but trouble when I had problems. Since ditching them I get weekly post, with an ever cheaper price, trying to convince me to go back. I will notā€¦ so just leave me alone. You had your chance.

I think Sky are struggling. I cancelled my subscription after thirteen years after I had enough of price increases whilst at the same time having the choice of nothing much but more and more repeats. I was then subjected to weeks of them phoning me to try to get me back on board.

No not seen any email like that? Not sure what it would actually mean isnā€™t Sky+ the type of box you have i.e. Sky+ HD Box rather than Sky Q? What did email say and was it encouraging you to click on anything, sounds like a scam?

I thought that when I read the thread, Sky plus??
They increased prices not long after I joined around springtime so more price rises for any reason just doesnā€™t seem on right now.
I think the answer seems to be, scam as Iā€™ve heard nowt from them.
As most folk think, Iā€™m ditching when my contract come to an end, I only joined because it was cheaper than Virgin media.

We have no choice no cable here and only 40Mb at best so Sky is best for us. Plus we want multiroom and Sky allows us to have 4 boxes.

Iā€™ve not had any issues with price rises I just ring and get them to discount it again. Yes over time itā€™s gone up but so has everything. Although this time I managed to get it for Ā£5 less a month than we were paying before the rise, figure that one.

I costed BT but is was far more expensive and no multiroom to speak of.

Plus having Sky Go allows us to watch it anywhere.

If we had better BB Iā€™d probably go for something like IPTV too.

Iā€™ve Been With Sky at 3 Different Addresses Since 2008 ish

And Conflict With Them for Various Reasons e.g. Not Needing MultiRoom
Not Wanting Sky Sport

One size Doesnā€™t Fit All etc

Iā€™m With Them for BroadBand & TV

AND MOBILE

OKā€¦What Have I Learnt

Sky Drives Me Crazy and I Donā€™t Understand Them

BUTā€¦I TALK TO THEM and EXPLAIN MY NEEDS AND CIRCS

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR DEALS

ALWAYS PAY BY DD AND DONā€™T MISS PAYMENTS

So I Signed Up for Sky Q and Paid Ā£75 for a 36inch TV

Signed Up For Sky Mobile and Got a Nokia 1.3 for Ā£2.16 pcm

Currently Paying Ā£62.00 pcm For Everything Else

Tell Them Your Requirements and Do a Deal

Ignore Contract Length

Because If You Speak To Them In My Experience They Can Tweek a Contract

I have them all the timeā€¦ focus adequately on the matter at hand would help me!!!

None the less thatā€™s a lot of money to spend on TV. Spend some time on google looking at IPTV and you will be surprised how far it has come and how cheap it is.

e.g. Just Because You Have a Contract to Purchase a Mobile Phone With Them
Doesnā€™t Mean You Are Tied in With Them for Air Time
e.g. Just Because You Have a Contract with Sky for e.g. T.V. doesnā€™t mean you are tied in with them for BB

This is My Best Interpretation !

So Far Iā€™ve Checked My Forecast Bills until end of Year and THERE IS NO CHANGE IN COSTS FOR ME
