Looked like it had shrunk in the wash… remember it well… :joy::rofl:

Hi, Yes our local dealer had 2 of these for sale on their forecourt for some years struggling to move them. They looked like a pimp’s car !!!

I’m not sure how the neo classic movement ever gained traction, does one need a wierd sense of naievity, irony and or humour blended with superd eye for detail and craftsmanship to out Edsel the Edsel ? Whatever there are a truly bewildering array of automotive quasimodo’s to choose from.

If I had to choose one it would be for completely turning the concept of it’s donor vehicle on it’s head, step forward the Zimmer Quicksilver, based on a midengined Pontiac Fiero, and a bonus for Mk1 fans it comes with pop up head lights.

:face_vomiting:…this became the topic of attrocities…one exception is (my opinion)…the BMW Z3 based ferrari 250swb by Tribute (uk based company who also did an awfull 250 GTO on a Mazda MX5 NA). If someone would go tor this…, please ; no Ferrari badges!

And to answer their question, 10 points for the “clownshoe” Z3 coupé which i believe is a great practical sportscar .

Here is another Z3 based replica, I am sure they are great fun, but they don’t float my boat like the neo classics, particularly the Zimmer Quiicksilver …

As the 250swb is not in the “tribute” catalogue anymore, they have this now ; the Z3gt which aims at earlier Zagato, Abarth…bodyworks and which also is (in my opinion) a fair achievement based on the Z.3.

Its a shame these butchers are turning their attention now to the Z3; not that many left now.

This NB based Alfa Romeo “replica” appears from time to time. Its a one off.

The origins of the car remains a mystery. I think it was a failed attempt at a commercial kit, rather than a true one off. Each to their own.

The M1Stang was an all steel kit for the NA MX5. They sold quite a few of them

Once one starts feeding a algorithm… I suppose being good with the Zimmer Quicksilver I should not be having too much of a Victor Meldrew moment with this… but I do wonder where it all might end :-

Wrong on many many levels

Besides the idea that a FR car could ever be a 356 replica, cooling looks marginal. But this is a kit car, with nothing of the MX5 unibody left. Having a MX5 engine does not make it a MX5. If it did, then the Monster Miata should be called a Ford Mustang…

This started out as a NB Roadster

Some sort of homage to the Mazda Cosmo
