Small display above fuel gauge- Any idea what it is please?

Hi Folks -

Probbably a stupid question but I havent got a handbook.

Can anyone tell me what the small square display is above the fuel gauge on a MX5 Mark One does please. It dosen’t seem to light up?

According to my Handbook it is a    “Rear Window De-fogger Display Light.”

Thanks for the reply- I have a plastic window so guess my car hasnt got one!

Yeah, plastic windows never had them unfortunetly. But, your hand/cloth does the job just as well. (almost)

 behind the passenger seat on the parcel shelf will be a small connector, its to plug the demister in when/if you get a glass rear heated screen

i keep an old wiper blade beside the seat to clear the placky window first thing inside & out.[8-|]
