If it clears when warm as you say and not using any fluids then I dont think you have anything to worry about.
Why not just do the good run first ? If it clears, as I hope it does, you’ve. saved unnecessary work
It basically clears every time a few mins after driving so not quiet sure, will check/monitor the other bits when I get a chance to, many thanks for all the replys and possible problems!

Mine does the same for first few mins. I noticed this since I used a bottle of Red-ex in it.
Strange! Will keep an eye on the levels until I get a chance/bit of sun to have a proper look over it! It does clear after a few mins as far as I can tell.

Looks like normal steam to me.
Fuel + Oxygen → Carbon Dioxide + Water (and energy)
The combustion process produces water, and when it’s cold enough, you see it as steam.
Post’s like the above make me happier (hopefully it is just steam
)
Thanks for all the above
Rich.
Hi - I will just add my 2p worth here as girlfriends Eunos does the same thing and has done since she bought it over two years ago. Car runs fine but does burn a little oil. smokes on start, mainly steam but likely a bit of oil too. I came to the conclusion that the valve stem seals were worn allowing a little oil into the bores, particularly noticable after starting after a while without use.
Going to put my money where my mouth is in a couple of weeks as will be driving 200 miles to Dartmouth in it !!
Cheers buddy, could well be burning a bit of oil aswell as the steam!
Thanks for the input! let me know how it goes lol.

There is an additive by Wynn’s to stop oil smoking. Don’t know if it’s any good mind.
Yeah that may be worth ago! I do think my exhaust is emptying petrol out as the fumes smell petrolly and i’m only getting shy or 200 miles to a tank
Why do I get a bad feeling that after we’ve all told the OP not to worry about the steam, we’re going to see somewhere below a post that has phrases in like “Had to call out the RAC to tow me home… the patrolman said that if I’d rectified the problem sooner…” And “The mechanic checked out the engine damage and asked me if the car had any sentimental value?”
Scotty B.
(Am I an Optimist or a Pessimist? All I’ll say is, For several years now my Glass ain’t been half full or half empty because it’s rolling around under the table… on a now “red wine” coloured patch of carpet! )
On reflection, oil smoke does’nt go away as the car warms up , if anything I’d say it gets worse. Changing down and then accelerating after the engine has slowed a bit blows blue smoke if the engine is burning oil.
Looks and sounds spot on to me.
Thanks, atleast I can stop worrying about that for now, aslong as I stick to my weekly check (more like daily) of fluids I should be fine!
