Your not going to believe this but I have just received an email from The Bear at Burton at 11:07am today, requesting £100 to secure the booking🙄
This post is an early heads-up to say, that when I get home I will review the post and take up for the drive and visit and get back to you all and will probably have to request PayPal deposit payments.

Hi again everyone,
As you will have seen from my previous post, I was not amused, at this late stage of the game, that the venue has requested a £100 deposit to secure our booking.
I will hold off a bit longer and ask if the deposit is fully refundable if we dont go ahead with the booking, as take up for this last evening drive of 2025 is low on take-up.
If you can come along to this drive, please respond to this forum post soonest.

I have just paid the £100 deposit to the venue to secure the booking, so we are all set for this one on the 24th Sept.
Unfortunately, we have lost two people from the list due to unforseen circustances, so our numbers are down by two, so it would be great to have a few more members join this drive if possible

Hi Everyone,
By way of an final post for tomorrow night’s drive to The Bear at Burton. We will start at Rownhams M27 Westbound, as previously stated and proceed via Morrisons on the A326 at Totton to pick up others.
Roy Newman will lead us all from Morrisons, as he knows the route better than myself and talking of routes, it was tweaked slightly tonight after discussion by Roy and myself and I will being a copy of the route for each car and hand them out tomorrow night😉
