SOLENT AREA - Sunday 1st February 2026: A drive finishing at Palmerston Bowls Club for Sunday Lunch

Dear All,

As some of you know I play Lawn Bowls for “Meon Valley Bowling Club”, Bishops Waltham but during the winter months, when the green is closed, I bowl at Palmerston Bowling Club, Fareham.

At Palmerston there is a restaurant, run by Debbie and her team, that do wonderful food. I have been to several evening social events and the entertainment and food have been excellent :+1:

I have spoken to Debbie and have asked if she would be happy to host a group from Solent Area on the 1st February 2026 and she is totally happy and will allocate tables for our group. There is ample parking and you will love the facilities at Palmerston.

The menu, which I know will be good, will not be available until nearer the time and I will post it on this thread when it does become available but I need to give Debbie and idea of our numbers.

So, if you fancy an hour or so’s drive on the 1st Feb followed by a Sunday lunch at reasonable cost, convivial surroundings, please reply to this post to confirm your attendance and I will add you to the Attendees List, given below;

Hi Everyone,

I was at Palmersotn Bowls Club this morning and had a chat with Debbie, who owns the company that does all the catering at Palmerston and we have now got a firm booking in her Diary for the 1st February 2026 :+1:

As stated previously, its too early to give us a menu for the day, as Debbie revises the Sunday Lunch each week. Debbie gave me two example Sunday Lunch Menu’s, to give an idea of what they usually have on offer, which is Roast Beef and Roast Pork but she occasionally changes one of these dishes for either Chicken or Duck. Once Debbie gives me the menu for the Suday of our visit, I will copy it into Post#1 for you to make your choices :wink:

So, to give you an idea of what cullinary delights are usually on offer and it is quality food, I have scanned and copied the menus below, so you can see the likely choices and prices.
