I use Autoglym super resin polish on mine. The paintwork was terrible when I got it and I used Autoglym paint restorer first. Between waxes I wash with Autoglym wash-stuff (can’t remember exact name!!).
Have tried other brands before (turtle wax etc) and Autoglym is always worth the extra dosh!
I have heard Carnuba wax is the mutts nuts, may try this in the summer…
I’m also an Autoglym man. I find all there products very good.Mind you, if the paint is really bad you may have to go the whole hog and start with a clay bar. Look at the detailing forum for full instructions if you feel keen enough!
I’m an Autoglym man too. There’s a product for just about anything to do with cleaning a car so no need to use lesser brands, after all, Aston Martin and Jaguar can’t really be wrong so it’ll do for me
Autoglym super resin is a good glaze polish. It has slight filling properties when used with a DA polishing machine, thus reducing swirls and and holograms… you can do it without the machine but it will wear you out…[;)]
A good quality carnuba wax laid over a glaze will help the shine stay for a few months, as long as you use a good quality shampoo.
Try Meguires gold class shampoo with the 2 bucket method using a microfibre mitt. This won’t strip the carnuba. Halfrauds usually have a buy 3 get the cheapest free offer on polishing stuff, the Meguires clay bar kit is a good starting point… but be very aware it leaads to OCD. Do the above and black will gleam.
Ady, the car looks stunning. have to agree with you, Megs is excellent and IMO has taken over from Auto Glym, I use all sorts Megs, Sonus, Clearkote, chemical guys and Dodo Juice all dependant on car colour etc
Costs a bloody fortune [:)] but shiney shiney cars are worth it.
