Are Sony still doing the cash back thing? I think I paid about that much, but got (well, I’m still waiting for) £40 back from Sony, so it works out at £300 [:D] and with Sarah haggling I ended up saving money on a memory card and something else (I can’t remember what now though!!)
Where did you get the memory cards from? I know Play had 4gb cards really cheap, £15 if I remember rightly!

Just got the wife one of these for Xmas (I have played with it the most) deals before Xmas were as low as £280 online but regardless its agreat camera for any money £280 -£350
Very compatibal with various lenses too so I am told.

Seems like were all thinking the same thing, after seeing Gary’s pictures and noticing his camera, thought I’d look at a Sony A300 DLSR as well.
Looked on the web and found Jessop’s were doing the A300 for £339, went to have a demo and got sidetracked in another camera shop. Anyway ended up with a Sony A350 Used DLSR 1 month old and 500 shutter activations, complete with warranty for £250. Previously owned by a pensioner who thought it was too complicated.
Absolutely brilliant cameras’ highly recommended, great choice Mark.
Suppose well be comparing lenses next & not fives.

Are you a wimp man??? I just started a photography course to learn more about my Canon 400D and I’ve been out taking photos this week[:)]
I know Gary said at the meeting that he would like to practice some photography but it sounds like there will be a few of you now who would welcome the chance to point their cameras at some lovely looking models with all the right curves in all the right places…and what better than a group of 5’s!
I can feel a competition coming on; you lot with your rather expensive bits of kit and as many of us as possible at a location somewhere. Would also really like some decent shots of mine (he says rather selfishly) taken by a ‘professional’ rather than by me and my ‘point and shoot’. Seeing as it’s getting it’s bodywork done and alloys refurbed this week it should be looking half decent too!
1st prize…a night out with Fergy, 2nd prize…two nights out with Fergy!!!

I’ve had a go myself, but I’m having trouble! The bottom of the pic, where it goes from sharp to blurry doesn’t graduate you can see the line!
